I'm pleased to announce that I've been awarded a "New Works Creation and Presentation Program"grant from Chamber Music America. I feel deeply honored and privileged by this award. I'll be composing a work for Afinidad that is to be titled Sorrows & Triumphs. Afinidad is an ensemble featuring some of the most original and exciting voices in jazz today: David Binney, Scott Colley, Antonio Sanchez, Adam Rogers, Gretchen Parlato and Rogerio Boccato.
